Thomas has been contributing to 84000 mission for the past 15 years. A scholar of Buddhist philosophy with over two decades of academic leadership, he currently serves as Professor and Principal at the Kathmandu University Centre for Buddhist Studies and Director of the Centre for the Study of Apparent Selves.
Though new to this role, Thomas is certainly not new to 84000—he’s been a translator with 84000 since the very beginning, contributing to our mission for the past 15 years. A scholar of Buddhist philosophy with over two decades of academic leadership, he currently serves as Professor and Principal at the Kathmandu University Centre for Buddhist Studies and Director of the Centre for the Study of Apparent Selves.With deep roots in both classical Buddhist thought and contemporary conversations in ethics, AI, and cognitive science, we’re excited to have him bring these worlds together in this new capacity.
