Paul translates mostly Tantric texts for 84000.
Originally from the United States, Paul lived in Nepal from 2008–2016, completing a BA and MA from the Rangjung Yeshe Institute in Boudhanath, where he studied and practiced under Tibetan lamas from the Nyingma Chokling Tersar tradition. He completed his PhD at the University of California, Berkeley from 2016-2024, spending the years from 2020 onwards back in Nepal where he is now based.
Paul has contributed to 84000 projects since 2013, mostly related to Tantric texts. His research and translation continues to focus on Tantric materials, currently those of the Kālacakra, Dzogchen, and Tantric Śaivism. He is grateful for the opportunity to offer access to these profound texts to the wider public through his work for 84000.
