An incredible gathering in Bodhgaya, India, as 84000 joined over 1500 people at the Dzongsar Monlam this October.

Image courtesy of Dzongsar Khyentse Chokyi Lodro Institute[/caption]On October 22, 2023, 84000 co-hosted a sūtra resounding of The Ornament of the Light of Awareness That Enters the Domain of All BuddhaswithDzongsar Khyentse Chokyi Lodro Institute. Participants recited various parts of the text in English, Tibetan, and Chinese, ensuring its complete recitation over the course of 30 minutes at the very spot of the Buddha’s awakening. Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche also addressed the gathering in Tibetan, describing the purpose, progress of the project and the significance of patronage.
"It is said in the sūtra that owning, making offerings to, or reading the sūtras carries enormous merit. So I feel that our effort to try and translate the sūtras into other languages will definitely earn great merit."
