84000 was delighted to help facilitate a resounding led by Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche of the sūtra The Questions of the Nāga King Sāgara (3) (Sāgaranāgarājaparipṛcchā), translated into English by 84000, during the Annual Seminar at Rangjung Yeshe Gomde California in August.
More than 100 participants joined in reading this text aloud. In this sūtra, the Buddha explains that speaking the four aphorisms of the Dharma is equivalent to reciting all 84,000 articles of the Dharma. These four aphorisms—also called the four seals—are central to Buddhist philosophy and characterize the Buddhist view of the nature of reality. The topic dovetailed perfectly with Rinpoche’s teaching on the four seals the prior day and he delivered a short commentary following the resounding.
