Sophie McGrath fully immersed herself in Tibetan language culture and traditional philosophical studies for nine years by pursuing the geshé degree curriculum in nunneries in India and Nepal.
Sophie McGrath fully immersed herself in Tibetan language culture and traditional philosophical studies for nine years by pursuing the geshé degree curriculum in nunneries in India and Nepal. Following that she interpreted for Tibetan geshés in the West to facilitate FPMT basic and master's programs. She also translated philosophical texts including The Fourteenth Dalai Lama’s Stages of the Path Volume 2, published by Wisdom Publications.
