Let Your Legacy Be Wisdom

Leaving a lasting legacy doesn’t require substantial wealth, and you retain the flexibility to make changes to your pledge in the event that life circumstances change. Depending on where you live, there may also be tax benefits associated with a bequest to 84000.

We offer two easy ways to make an enduring impact, with no immediate cost; gifts through your will, and gifts by beneficiary designation.

Chose Your Legacy Option

A Gift in Your Will

If you are looking to make a gift to 84000 through your will or trust, you can do so by adding as little as one sentence to complete your gift. However, we suggest you consider the following too:

  1. Talk with your loved ones. Share with them your wish and your intentions to include 84000 in your will.
  2. Seek professional advice. While not mandatory, we recommend you consult with your lawyer or financial advisor regarding estate planning.
  3. Write or update your will. Consider whether you want to leave a percentage or a specific amount of your estate to 84000. Then create or revise your will. You can download sample language for Legacy Gifts by clicking the button below.
  4. Let us know your plans. Share with us your intention by filling out the Legacy Gift Pledge Form for our records.

84000 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in Colorado, USA. If you include 84000 in your plans, please use our legal name, registered address, and federal tax ID available at the button below.

Beneficiary Designations

A beneficiary designation is the simplest way to leave a legacy gift. It is commonly used for retirement accounts, life insurance policies, and other specific assets. These accounts are typically taxed, so gifting an IRA or a 401(k) to charity can relieve your heirs of some tax obligations.

It only takes a few easy steps to make this type of gift:

  1. Ask the relevant institution for a change-of-beneficiary form, though they are often downloadable online.
  2. Indicate what percentage of the account you would like to contribute to 84000.

Note: For those in the US and gifting an IRA, if you are aged 70½ years or older, you can contribute any amount up to $100,000 per year to 84000, tax free. This popular gift option is known as a qualified charitable distribution (QCD).

  1. Name 84000 as the beneficiary:
    Legal Name: 84000
Mailing Address: 43456 Ellsworth Street #3332, Fremont, CA 94539-9991
    Federal Tax ID#: 45-430223
  2. Submit the form as directed by the institution.
  3. Notify 84000 by completing this Legacy Gift Pledge Form.
