Laura Goetz

Laura Goetz started as a digital editor with 84000 in 2017. She studied Indo-Tibetan Buddhism along with Sanskrit and Tibetan at Naropa University in Boulder, CO, and is currently completing her PhD studies at the University of Vienna.
Laura Goetz was born and raised upstate New York. She studied creative writing at Cornell University and went on to obtain an MA in Buddhist studies at Naropa University, focusing on the translation of Tibetan and Sanskrit.
After spending some time in Eastern Tibet and North India furthering her Tibetan studies, she worked as a research assistant at the Tsadra Foundation in Boulder, CO, and briefly with the editorial department at Shambhala Publications.
She currently resides in Austria and is pursuing her PhD at the University of Vienna on Buddhist tantra and philosophy.
