Laura edits the translations and maintains 84000’s guidelines for translators and editors.
Laura began studying Indo-Tibetan Buddhism along with Tibetan and Sanskrit in 2011, when she enrolled at Naropa University in Colorado. Since receiving her master’s degree in 2014, she has been engaged with a number of editorial, organizational, and research projects, working with the Tsadra Foundation and Shambhala Publications and as a freelance editor for works related to Buddhist studies. She also subsequently spent time studying in Eastern Tibet and North India. Laura joined 84000 in 2017 as a digital editor and later worked as a copyeditor. She is currently completing her PhD at the University of Vienna. Laura hails from upstate New York and received her BA in English and creative writing from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
