Ibby works with the Translation team to ensure 84000's translations are accessible and readable.
Ibby has had an active career as an award-winning journalist. Her work has aired on the BBC World Service and National Public Radio, and has been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Slate, Boston Globe Magazine and elsewhere. Ibby was the Senior Editor of Overheard at National Geographic for the first three seasons. She worked as a story editor for the nationally syndicated US public radio show The World and for several podcasts including The Breakthrough from ProPublica; Seeking Peace from the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security; and Can We Talk from the Jewish Women’s Archive. For several years, Ibby taught audio journalism to incoming students at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, and podcasting to the MIT-Knight Science Journalism Fellows at MIT.
In addition, Ibby had the great honor of co-editing The Power of Mind, Khentrul Lödro T’hayé Rinpoche’s commentary on Atisha's Seven Key Points of Mind Training, which was released by Shambhala Publications in 2022.
