Linda Griffin
Copyeditor
Linda copyedits texts in the pre-publication phase.
Linda had been working as a copyeditor for several years when an opportunity to join 84000 arose, and she is delighted to be able to contribute to this amazing project. With a background in Chinese and Buddhist studies, she has spent most of her adult life in Asia, variously working as a journalist, translator, NGO program director, Dharma center manager, librarian, and digital nomad. Since 2007 she has mostly been based in Bir, India, with occasional stints in Nepal and Bhutan. As a core team member at Deer Park Institute in Bir, she was involved in the on-site logistics for the 2009 Translating the Words of the Buddha Conference—the catalyst for 84000—and sixteen years later, she is honored to join the translation team and put her editing skills to good use. Linda is an amateur language geek and enjoys reading Dharma texts in Sanskrit, Tibetan, and Chinese—with the English translations alongside, and a great deal of awe and appreciation for the translators!
