In Memoriam: 84000 Translator Michael Ium

It is with great sadness that we pay our respects to a former 84000 translator Michael Ium, who tragically passed away in Vienna in April after a short illness. Michael completed his PhD in religious studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and completed a postdoc at the University of Toronto before starting his fellowship in Vienna. He co-translated two texts for 84000, Surata's Questions (Toh 71), and Victory of the Ultimate Dharma (Toh 246).
