A summary or synopsis in verse form comprising a list of topics or keywords. One of several types of summary (uddāna) characteristic of the vinaya and abhidharma literature and also found in longer sūtras of the Dīrghāgama and (less often) Madhyamāgama. An intervening summary, found less often than the other types, typically summarizes the subject matter of a topical subsection of which it may also mark the end. See also UT22084-071-002-541.
