A disciple of the Buddha. The Tibetan instance of dga’ yod gnas brtan ka pi na, which would render the name “Nandika Kapphiṇa,” is read in the Sanskrit source as brāhmaṇakapphiṇas sthaviraḥ, “the elder Brāhmaṇakapphiṇa.” This figure seems to be identical to Brāhmaṇakapphiṇa.
