Celebrations in Bodhgaya!

Pilgrimage is a powerful method for remembering the Buddha's teachings and putting them into practice, and for Buddhists, the most important holy places are the four sites associated with the Buddha's life. With this in mind, we are pleased to announce 84000's 4th Resounding Under the Bodhi Tree, co-hosted by the Dzongsar Khyentse Chokyi Lodro Institute this November! Come spend some time with us resounding the words of the Buddha at the site of his enlightenment!

It's All About the...Access!

This month, 84000 is pleased to announce that we have added three new features to our ever-evolving online Reading Room. Complementing our translation efforts, accessibility has always been at the heart of how we aspire to preserve the vast literary heritage of the Buddha, and a big part of what we do is figuring out how to improve the readability of the texts and integrate them with technologies that help readers discover them, translators to engage with them, and practitioners to recite and study from them.

Stories of 84000: Ushnisha Ng

'Stories of 84000' is a new series that shares the motivation and warmth of our team with our supporters and friends around the world. First up, we have Ushnisha Ng - fondly known as Ush - who is a familiar face to many volunteers and supporters of 84000. Joining us as a volunteer in 2010, we are happy to share that from this year, Ush is now our Operations Manager and doing more than ever.
