India – the land where Buddhism took birth and once flourished – has lost many of the valuable Sanskrit texts containing the teachings of the Buddha. But it is due to the credit of the great Indian masters and Tibetan translators, that the Sanskrit canonical texts were translated into the Kangyur and Tengyur. This has played a decisive role in protecting and preserving the precious heritage that India had lost.

Join us at this symposium, as our distinguished speakers deliberate on the significance of the words of Buddha, and discuss the role India can play in sharing its legacy of wisdom with the rest of the world.

Learn about 84000: Translating the Words of the Buddha, a global non-profit movement that was initiated in India, and which has now taken on the monumental task of translating the words of Buddha and making them available to everyone.
