The Teaching on the Indivisible Nature of the Realm of Phenomena: In response to the Buddha’s request to teach on nature of reality, Mañjuśrī offers a playfully profound questioning of whether the very idea of such a teaching is intelligible.

Thank you to those who travelled from far and wide to join us last month in Bodhgaya. If you missed it, here’s a brief recap of our events, experiences, and celebrations.

Inspiring Cultural Phenomena: The Lotus Sūtra

We are thrilled to have recently published the 84000 translation of The White Lotus of the Good Dharma with a preface by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, in our online Reading Room. This sūtra is one of the most popular and influential sūtras in Mahāyāna Buddhism. It contains one of the fullest expressions of the transcendent nature of the Buddha, and is best known for its extensive explanations of how the whole variety of approaches and practices he taught are simply skillful means, tailored to people’s different needs, to bring them to the same ultimate goal—buddhahood.

Our Reading Room in Education

We have recently heard that students in both the US—at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro—as well as those in Kathmandu (Nepal), have been assigned readings from our state-of-the-art, online Reading Room for their Introduction to Buddhism courses. Learn more about 84000’s vision for the pedagogical use of its Reading Room and become inspired to use our free, online resource in new, educational ways.

Stories of 84000: Wang Lang

In our second “Stories of 84000,” we are pleased to introduce you to Wang Lang, who talks about how she became interested in 84000, and why she generously supports the translation of the sūtras into English, despite her greater fluency in Chinese. We feel so much gratitude for the support we receive from 84000 Team Members around the world who dedicate their time and efforts to help represent 84000, to organize events, and ultimately to fulfill our vision.
